- The new French government of Prime Minister Gabriel Attal Friday evening announced it would drop a plan to gradually eliminate a tax break on diesel fuel used by farmers. Thousands of angry farmers on their tractors are wreaking havoc on the roads of France, among other things threatening to prevent any trucks from entering Paris until their demands are met. - The former CEO of the Formula One auto racing series, Bernie Ecclestone, was the second-biggest taxpayer in the UK last year, after forking over a 652.6 million pound ($828.8 million) tax fraud settlement to the country’s tax authority.
